Visit from US European Command Deputy Commander
Today, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović talked with United States European Command Deputy Commander Lieutenant General Michael Howard.
At the meeting, the interlocutors talked about the current security situation in the region and the world, and about the possibilities for the enhancement of the bilateral defence cooperation, and they evaluated the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and US Armed Forces as intensive and comprehensive, carried out in mutual interest.
Our side underlined its intention to place accent on concrete and visible forms of cooperation while conducting joint activities. In that respect, the upcoming joint engagement in the peacekeeping mission in Sinai has been singled out as the most significant step for the promotion of the bilateral military cooperation.
Lieutenant General Michael Howard is staying in Serbia as a member of delegation of US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.
