Training on Infantry Fighting Vehicles M-80A
In the zones of their peacetime locations, Members of the Fourth Army Brigade are carrying out training for the execution of combat tasks in Army operations using Infantry Fighting Vehicle M-80A.
It is regular training of professional component of mechanised battalions, which is conducted in cycles throughout the year for the purpose of maintaining and advancing the high level of competence for the execution of tasks.
The training programme includes practical elements of crews’ training, starting from the preparation for the execution of tasks, through masking, tactical actions in the battlefield while executing defensive and assault operations, to engaging the targets on surface and air, and maintenance of all subsystems of the fighting vehicles.
The conduct of this training will enhance combat competence of soldiers and young commanding officers who have been recently admitted into the unit, and it also maintains a high level of competence of the unit for the execution of assigned tasks.
Infantry Fighting Vehicle M-80A is intended for the execution of combat tasks of mechanised units in all terrain and weather conditions, and its reliability and efficiency have been confirmed during its exploitation in the Serbian Armed Forces units and in numerous tactical exercises.
