Congratulatory Message of President of Republic on the Occasion of Serbian Armed Forces Day

President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić, extended congratulations on the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day to Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović and all members of the Serbian Armed Forces. The congratulatory message reads:

“I congratulate 23rd April, Serbian Armed Forces Day to all members of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Professionalism, resolve and dedication to work are the characteristics that you show every day while performing your regular duties.

Your high level of training and readiness to respond in every moment to challenges, risks and threats to the security of our country and its citizens was best demonstrated at joint tactical exercises held last year, “Fiery Shield 2022” certainly being one of them, when you presented in all its glory the fire power of our units.

Regardless of circumstances, and using available capacities, our armed forces have always been a strong bulwark of the state, and the things that gave them strength were precisely dedication, honour and high morale of their members, who are our strongest asset in the hard times, because they mean more than any weapon.

However, I am glad that the Serbian Armed Forces are many times stronger today and that they can boast of significantly better equipment. You are making great steps on your path of further progress, and the state is there to give its best so that we succeed together on our ultimate task – the preservation of sovereignty, stability and peace of our country and all its citizens.

Wishing that you become stronger and better in the years to come, and to achieve progress in all fields, I extend congratulations for your holiday.

Long live Serbian Armed Forces! Long live Serbia!”
