MMC Karaburma receives multi-slice CT scanner

As the Minister of Defence and Deputy Prime Minister announced last week, the “Karaburma” Military Covid Hospital has received a multi-slice CT scanner donated by the United States. This scanner will greatly facilitate the medical staff’s work and provide better-quality health care for this hospital’s patients.
"Karaburma" has been treating Covid patients for two years now, and since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, more than 4,200 patients with severe Covid-19 symptoms have been treated there. Military doctors and medical staff are still fighting for the health of 52 patients.
Seven days ago, while visiting the part of the building where adaptation work is being finalized to fit in the multi-slice CT scanner, Minister Stefanović thanked the medical staff on working tirelessly and said that it was envisaged that the “Karaburma” Military Hospital, as a secondary health care facility, would become a general hospital in the future, thus facilitating the work of the Military Medical Academy as a tertiary health care institution.
