Joint tactical exercise “Fire Shield 2022”
The active phase of the joint tactical live-fire exercise "Fire Shield 2022" has started at the "Pasuljanske Livade" range. The exercise is being jointly conducted by Army and Air Force and Air Defence units, 72nd Special Operations Brigade and 63rd Parachute Brigade.
The exercise aims to enhance the capability of the Serbian Armed Forces commands and units to carry out defensive day and night operations on different types of terrain and in different weather conditions. More than a thousand members of the Serbian Armed Forces are participating, using about a hundred combat means and systems.
Participating units will perform a number of tactical live-fire drills this week, and intensive activities at the range wind up on Saturday, April 9, with a defensive night operation drill performed by a reinforced tactical group.
Serbian Armed Forces will show their determination, skills, fire capabilities and a high level of cooperation when responding to challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia. Means developed by the domestic defence industry will also be presented.
