"Sava“ river monitor opens to visitors again on April 1
The "Sava" river monitor, a cultural asset of the Republic of Serbia and an exhibit belonging to the Military Museum, which is moored between Branko's Bridge and the Sava port, will open to visitors again, after a winter break, on April 1, 2022.
"Sava", the former "Bodrog", the only remaining ship out of a group of river monitors from which the first artillery raid was carried out in the First World War and one of a total of 10 such vessels in the world, was restored and had an official opening on November 1, 2021 to mark the Liberation of Belgrade Day.
Visitors will be able to tour the "Sava" river monitor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, except Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. Group visits need to be booked at least three days in advance.
Admission is free of charge. For additional information about opening hours and booking guided group tours, call the Military Museum on 011/3201-590.
In case of bad weather, rain or strong wind, the exhibition is closed.
