Minister Stefanović sends a telegram of condolences following the death of police officer Ivan Đurđević



Personally and on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has sent a telegram of condolences to the Minister of the Interior, Aleksandar Vulin, following the death of police officer Ivan Đurđevac, which reads as follows:
 
“I was shaken by the news of the death of Ivan Đurđevac, member of the Ministry of the Interior, who was killed while protecting the life of innocent citizens of Zaječar. Unfortunately, that tragic event has once again shown how difficult and dangerous the job of a police officer is. On behalf of the Ministry of Defence, I would like to take this opportunity to offer you our heartfelt condolences”, said Minister Stefanović.
 
According to him, members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces share the grief after the tragic event.  
 
"Please convey our condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of the tragically killed police officer and his colleagues”, reads the Defence Minister’s telegram.
