Meeting between representatives of Serbian and Norwegian ministries of defence
The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence delegation has paid a two-day visit to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and on that occasion, potential cooperation on a human resources management project was discussed.
On the first day, the delegation representing the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia led by Assistant Minister for Human Resources Katarina Tomašević, met with representatives of the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence led by Kjersti Cristina Klæboe, Director General, Head of the Department of Personnel Policy, Competence and Joint Legal Services at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence. The meetings continued the next day.
The harmonization of the human resources management role with modern world trends opens up an opportunity to further improve the efficiency of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces through several different activities. Achieving the project goals would lead to more accurate personnel planning with a smaller employee turnover, more efficient recruitment and selection, development of necessary databases and establishment of necessary analytics and reporting, improvement of required competences in the field of human resources management, and the creation of long-term strategies in this area.
