Operators of modern domestically-produced telecommunication systems undergo training
The operators of mobile switching nodes, which are telecommunication and IT equipment integrated systems, are undergoing training at the IT and Signals Training Centre in Gornji Milanovac.
This two-month course is attended by professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces’ telecommunications service, serving in units equipped with these modern systems.During the course, participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for operating a mobile switching node, which includes radio, radio relay, cable-line, switching, computer-software, energy, intercom and crypto security subsystems.
The mobile switching node was developed by the Military Technical Institute in collaboration with the Telecommunications and IT Department (J-6), Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, the Technical Overhaul Institute "Čačak", the Technical Test Centre and end users in the Serbian Armed Forces, and the serial production of this system, which integrates the devices and technology developed by renowned domestic and foreign manufacturers, takes place in the Technical Overhaul Institute "Čačak".Conducting successful operator training and providing the Serbian Armed Forces with these systems, which began this year, will significantly facilitate the use of modern telecommunications services in commanding units and putting together a complete picture of the battlefield.
