Defence Minister sends best wishes to women on International Women’s Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has sent his best wishes to all female members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces on International Women's Day – March 8.
“The role of women has proven important in all segments of life many times throughout history. You have always managed to triumph in all fields, as amazing human beings who bring new life into the world, as mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, warriors, officers, professors, scientists, doctors, artists... This tradition continues even today, but with one difference – when it comes to women performing certain roles, what used to be an exception, has become a practice”, said Minister Stefanović.He expressed satisfaction with the fact that today there is an increasing number of women working in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, attending military schools and performing voluntary military service.
“Dear ladies, thank you for providing strength and support to your families and our armed forces and our country. Thank you for keeping overwhelming love for Serbia in your hearts. I wish you a happy International Women’s Day, and may every day of the year be your holiday!", said the Minister of Defence.
