River Flotilla conducts cold weather training
The River Flotilla divers are doing regular training in cold weather and low visibility on the river Danube near Novi Sad.
The purpose of the training is to maintain and improve divers’ ability to perform demanding diving tasks in rivers, canals and lakes in all weather conditions. 
During this period, the divers are practising diving procedures at low water temperatures, searching the river bottom, finding and retrieving sunken vessels, and tactical actions undertaken to provide anti-sabotage protection to the flag ship. 
The Serbian Armed Forces river divers must have a high level of physical and mental fitness in order to perform a large number of complex tasks. Therefore, their training must be conducted throughout the year in order to be able to deal with the most difficult situations at any time and be ready for great physical and mental exertions.
