Growing interest in voluntary military service under arms among young people
Over the past month, the Ministry of Defence has presented a new concept of voluntary military service under arms in more than 30 municipalities and cities throughout the Republic of Serbia.
The promotions held in Negotin, Jagodina and Kraljevo on February 22, in Raška and Kuršumlija on February 23 and in Lajkovac and Svrljig on February 24 were an opportunity for citizens to get informed about the current concept, the advantages of performing military service, and the ways to become professional servicemen.
All interested persons can file an application for voluntary military service under arms to competent MoD local-self government centres, via e-government portal or at the post office counters. The Ministry of Defence will provide monthly pay amounting to approximately 38,000 dinars to soldiers performing voluntary military service under arms.
The March figures show a growing interest in voluntary military service under arms among young people.
