152 mm gun-howitzer training in Mixed Artillery Brigade
Professional members of the Mixed Artillery Brigade are undergoing regular training using 152 mm M-84 Nora gun-howitzers in “Mija Stanimirović“ barracks in Niš and on “Rujnička kosa“ temporary training ground.
This unit conducts training throughout the year in order to maintain and develop its competence in efficient combat use of this artillery composition, and in this phase, unit members are undergoing practical training in carrying out collective tasks.
The focus is on practicing actions and procedures for gun emplacement, timely target acquisition, firing elements calculation and the work of crews after issuing a fire order.
This stage of training ends with a mobile camp, when the skills in performing a wide range of unit tasks will be tested at several locations and a tactical live fire exercise will be conducted.
The 152 mm M-84 Nora gun-howitzer is used for providing fire support to Army units during combat operations, delivering heavy volumes of accurate long-range fire.
