Mi-17 helicopter maintenance staff training
Training for the 204th Air Brigade’s Mi-17 helicopter maintenance technicians is underway at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica.
The one-month training is designed for the technical service officers and non-commissioned officers who are trained to carry out maintenance and upkeep of Mi-17 helicopters independently, and candidates for the posts of flight mechanics, who will undergo additional training during flight tasks on this type of aircraft.
The program includes theoretical and practical training in aircraft engine maintenance, electric power systems and communication equipment, navigation and rescue of pilots, with special emphasis on preparing the aircraft for flying.
Aircraft maintenance staff training in air brigades is carried out regularly and all officers assigned to the unit must undergo this training in order to acquire a high level of competence for carrying out maintenance of all types of aircraft and provide essential prerequisites for carrying out specific tasks assigned to these units.
