General Staff Course students visit General Staff
The 65th Class attending the National Defence School’s General Staff Course paid a study visit to the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff today.
The visit was organized as part of the study tour for the subject of Strategy, so that officers at this stage of career development can see the role of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff in the defence system, as well as the functions and tasks it performs.
The Head of the Operations Department (J-3), Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, presented the challenges and prospects of development of the Serbian Armed Forces capabilities, and the heads of the Development and Equipment Department (J-5) and the Training and Doctrine Department (J-7), Brigadier General Milan Popović and Brigadier General Petar Latković, also spoke. The General Staff Course is the third level of special training program for officers at the Defence University, where students are trained to perform the highest command and management duties in the defence system.
