Signing of Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation with French Republic
Today, Head of Department for International Military Cooperation Colonel Nebojša Svjetlica and Defence Attaché of the French Republic Colonel Laurent Vonderscher signed the Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation for the year 2022, which reflects the orientation of the two defence systems towards further development of the cooperation in the mutual interest.
At the meeting held in the Ministry of Defence, Colonel Svjetlica and Colonel Vonderscher talked about the achieved level of defence cooperation and they stated that the cooperation is developed despite the fact that, last year, the activities were conducted in the difficult conditions caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
Colonel Svjetlica expressed his satisfaction with the achieved level of military-to-military cooperation, especially stressing the significance of the visit from the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the French Republic to the Republic of Serbia, and the first participation of French officers in the multinational exercise “Platinum Wolf 2021”.
During today’s meeting, Colonel Vonderscher pointed out his expectation that the talks on defence policy will be continued in this year as well at the level of policy directors, and the expert talks on the possibilities for the enhancement of defence cooperation.
