Minister Stefanović: Šešelj cannot but lie, but I will not take in silence any of those lies
Statement of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD:
“In his well-known manner of lies and deceit, Vojislav Šešelj yet again spoke about some role of mine in the coup d’état against President Vučić modelled after the events in Kazakhstan, thus continuing, without any sanctions, spreading lies about me and my relations with the President.
Regardless of the fact that each time I, and responsible bodies, refuted all allegations when he spoke about it, Šešelj continues publically scheming about some kind of my attack against President Vučić, in line with the orders from America and Britain.
I have never, nor will I, allow him to spread lies about me now, and, without any reason whatsoever, not to mention evidence, to tell the worst nonsense that he alone can think of. He himself knows that everything that he spoke is a lie, and he knows very well how harmful such constructions are to the state, President Vučić, and at the same time dangerous for my security and the security of my family. However, causing damage and creating danger by saying monstrous lies is the only way for Šešelj to create an opportunity for himself, his affairs and career.
It is unusual that the Prime minister listened to all of that and said nothing to Šešelj’s nonsense about Serbia being some colony and vassal state governed by the Americans and British, since he knows quite well that absolutely no one can influence President Vučić аnd the decisions he makes. It is unusual that she did not react to Šešelj’s open fabrications and insults to me and the President, since she knows all too well that my resignation has been lying on the President Vučić’s desk for a long time and he can activate it whenever he wants, and that does not depend on anyone else, least of all the Americans and British.
President Vučić knows very well that it only takes one telephone call from him for me to withdraw from the function that I perform if he deems it right, and I will continue with all my might and available legal resources fighting against those who tell the worst of lies and cause damage to the President of Serbia, our country and me personally.
