Minister Stefanovic's New Year Wishes
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has sent best wishes to members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and all citizens of Serbia for the upcoming holiday season and wished them health and happiness in 2022. He said that he was proud of “all our soldiers, all members of the Ministry of Defence, who have shown over the past year that they have Serbia at heart“.
“Dear citizens of Serbia, the Serbian Armed Forces are there for you every day of the year. Everything our service members say or do, they do it to provide a peaceful sleep to our children and the stability to our country. We have worked hard to preserve the peace and security of every home in our country. We have been united and kept together. We have fought for peace, for a smile, for life, for the homeland. I am proud of every man and woman in uniform, of every pilot, tanker, doctor, engineer, artilleryman, infantryman, guard, diver, military policeman, special forces officer. Of all our soldiers, all members of the Ministry of Defence, who have shown over the past year that they have Serbia at heart," said Minister Stefanović.He said that we are welcoming the New Year stronger than ever, thanks to the support from President Aleksandar Vučić, and that Serbia keeps moving forward, proud of its armed forces, which are stronger and better equipped than ever, its economy, new roads and factories.
"May the New Year bring you health and happiness. May it bring us success, love and happy moments with our families. I hope you start the New Year smiling and rejoicing, in the arms of your loved ones. When you are making a New Year’s toast at home tonight, remember our soldiers who are on duty, who are with their country and their citizens tonight as well. Because they are always there. Their hearts beat for Serbia. Let's be there for each other in the upcoming year as well. Together we can do everything," said Minister Stefanović.
