Congratulatory message from the President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić on the occasion of Air Force and Air Defence Day
The President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Air Force and Air Defence Day, which reads:
“I extend my warmest congratulations to all members of the Air Force and Air Defence on December 24 – the Air Force and Air Defence Day.
More than a century ago, Serbia was one of the first five countries in the world to use aircraft in combat operations.
You have proudly maintained and passed on the tradition of your ancestors, preserving the discipline, sense of responsibility and stability that still characterize your personnel, which is why the Air Force and Air Defence units are among the most representative ones and serve as the stronghold of the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the recent demonstration of capabilities of your units, we had the opportunity to see that the government's investment in the modernization of the Serbian Armed Forces has paid off, and I assure you that we will continue to invest equally in the future, so that our aviation is even better and stronger.
I congratulate you on your anniversary, hoping that you will continue to achieve impressive results and contribute to the enhancement of operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and provide security to all citizens of our country."
