Defence Minister’s congratulatory message on the occasion of Air Force and Air Defence Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of December 24 – the Air Force and Air Defence Day, which reads as follows:
“I extend my warmest congratulations to all members of the Air Force and Air Defence on the occasion of December 24 – the Air Force and Air Defence Day.
More than a century ago, Radomir Putnik passed a decision to form the Air Command headquartered in Niš, putting Serbia among 15 countries in the world that had Air Force at that time. From 1912 until now, the history of the Serbian Air Force has been written by generations of heroes.
Dear members of the Air Force and Air Defence, you have always been great patriots, at the service of your people at all times, so I am glad that this year, you are finally celebrating this important date much better equipped and better paid for doing your job with great dedication.
I congratulate you on your anniversary, convinced that our country is safe, as long as its sky is guarded by soldiers like you”.
