Reception for representatives of sports organisations
Today, the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has hosted a reception for representatives of sports organisations, to mark the end of the year, which has been marked by impressive results achieved by both Serbian military athletes and our professional sportsmen.
The reception was attended by the president and the vice president of the Serbian Olympic Committee, Božidar Maljković and Žarko Zečević, a member of the International Olympic Committee Executive Board, Nenad Lalović, the president and the vice president of the Basketball Federation of Serbia, Predrag Danilović and Dušan Projović, the national basketball team selector, Svetislav Pešić, and the director of the Serbian Athletics Federation, Slobodan Branković.General Mojsilović welcomed the renowned sportsmen and sport personnel, and said he was proud of our competitors’ achievements in individual and collective sports and expressed hope that they would continue to achieve success in years to come, and that the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and sports organisations at home will continue to strengthen, to the mutual benefit and satisfaction.
Sport holds a special place in the Serbian Armed Forces, since the successful completion of military tasks requires a high level of physical fitness, which is best attained through sports. Members of the Serbian Armed Forces have achieved notable results at international, national and local competitions and sporting events this year as well and thus represented their armed forces and country in the right way.
