Reaction of State Secretary Branko Živanović
Reaction of State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Branko Živanović:
“With his work and efforts made in the previous year on the betterment of the standard of living and working conditions of members of the Serbian Armed Forces, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović showed what he thinks about them, how much he respects them and how much he cares for them.
Just like Novica Antić ever more frequently shows that he does not deal with union activities, or members of the Serbian Armed Forces, but petty politics and personal interests. Hence it is clear why he believes that it was better during the previous establishment and why, according to his opinion, the salary of a master sergeant of 368 euros back in 2008 was excellent and better than the salary of 645 euros that a master sergeant will receive in January.
I have no doubt that members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, who have received their third increase in salaries from the beginning of this year alone, know what Novica Antić does when he concurrently with the politicians of the opposition leads campaigns against President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović because of the equipment of the armed forces, betterment of working conditions and the standard of living.”
