Future SAF NCOs in training
Training in field conditions is underway at the "Peskovi" training ground near Požarevac, for the participants in the 32nd consecutive Leadership Course at the "Sergeant Milunka Savić“ NCO Training Centre.
During the eight-week Leadership Course, soldiers are trained to command a group, squad, crew or team in combat conditions in a proper, safe and efficient manner and perform tasks which fall within the deputy squad leader competence in war and peace.
The programme includes theoretical and practical training in various fields, such as leadership, military regulations, military topography, as well as drills, tactical, firearms and physical training, so that participants acquire knowledge and skills required for initial NCO assignments. The Leadership Course is the first stage in the career development of a future non-commissioned officer and it is offered to professional soldiers who have proven themselves at work. Those who successfully complete this level of training have the right to attend the Basic NCO Course, after which they are promoted to the rank of sergeant and become non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces.
