204th Air Brigade Day marked



A ceremony was held today at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport on the occasion of the 204th Air Brigade Day, which is marked in memory of December 2, 1949, when the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment was established.

On this occasion, the Brigade’s units held a parade, a display of weapons and military equipment was mounted, wreaths were laid at the memorial located at the airport and awards were presented to the most deserving individuals.  A high level of competence of members of the 204th Air Brigade, which was confirmed in the air defence live fire exercise in Bulgaria and joint tactical exercises conducted over the past year, was highlighted as one of the most important results achieved.

The Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, local self-government and institutions collaborating with this unit, also attended the ceremony.
