Talks on improvement of bilateral military cooperation with U.S.
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, talked today in Belgrade to Nate Adler, performing duties of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia.
The meeting discussed the current political and security situation in the region and the world, key challenges and security threats in Kosovo and Metohija and the potential for improvement in bilateral military cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the United States.
The interlocutors expressed readiness to continue cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, mainly through conducting joint exercises and training and arming the Serbian Armed Forces with modern weapons and equipment.
It was assessed that bilateral military cooperation is very successful and contributes to strengthening the overall Serbia-U.S. relations and it was concluded that there is still room for improvement, primarily through specific forms of cooperation that have a real impact on the operational capabilities of the armed forces.
