Minister of Defence extends congratulations on the occasion of Engineer Corps Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of November 6 – Engineer Corps Day which reads:
“I congratulate all engineers on November 6, the Engineer Corps Day.
On this day, more than a century and a half ago, an amendment to the Army Organization Act was passed in the Principality of Serbia, separating pontonniers and pioneers from the artillery and a special branch was formed - the engineer branch.
You have followed in the footsteps of your predecessors for many years and, thanks to the commitment, expertise and responsibility of members of your corps, you have managed to fulfil your purpose and execute all assigned tasks, making an enormous contribution to maintaining the required level of operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
I congratulate you on your anniversary, wishing you a lot of success in responding to all challenges in the coming period”.
