Meeting between Minister Stefanović and Ambassador of Republic of Armenia




Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Serbia, Ashot Hovakimian.

Minister Stefanović expressed gratitude for Armenia’s constant support for the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
  The Minister also pointed out that Serbia greatly appreciates the fact that the Armenian people remember and every year commemorate the anniversary of the crash of a Yugoslav Air Force and Air Defence aircraft, which was carrying humanitarian aid after a devastating earthquake that had hit Armenia. Seven Serbian airmen lost their lives in the crash on April 12, 1988.
