Meeting between Minister Stefanović and U.S. Ambassador



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, talked today to the U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, Anthony Godfrey, about the continuation of defence cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Stefanović pointed out that our country highly values ​​the cooperation in the field of joint military exercises and training so far, as well as the U.S. donations to the Serbian defence system. According to him, bilateral military cooperation is good and aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
  The Minister of Defence stated that Serbia continues to pursue a balanced defence policy and is constantly working on the improvement and further development of relations in the field of defence with all states and international organizations, in line with its long-term strategic commitment to military neutrality.

The U.S. Ambassador expressed his belief that in the coming period, Serbia and the United States will raise defence cooperation to a higher level, in all segments of common interest. The newly appointed Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, John Ginkel, also attended the meeting.
