Annual Meeting of Conference of National Armament Directors
Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, PhD participated in the meeting of the Conference of National Armaments Directors – CNAD, that was held in NATO Headquarters in Brussels in the format of the Interoperability Platform.
The meeting was attended by national directors and their deputies, representatives of NATO members and majority of partner countries, NATO organisations and commands of different level, and representatives of the European Defence Agency.
At the plenary part of the meeting, Interoperability Platform member states were briefed on the results of CNAD work achieved in the previous period and the directions of further engagement. The participants highlighted the opportunities for multinational cooperation especially through the participation in High Visibility Projects and they exchanged views on the importance of innovation and the application of new technologies for defence industry and development of military capabilities.
The meeting was also a platform for a direct dialogue at the level of national armaments directors. Assistant Minister of Defence Nenad Miloradović, PhD had several bilateral talks during this activity with national armaments directors or their deputies from Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Greece. The discussions were oriented towards considering the opportunities for the cooperation in the field of defence technologies, or joint engagement in the field of production development and armament procurement. All mentioned interlocutors emphasised their intention to expand their cooperation with Serbia in this field, while some concrete projects of mutual interest were nominated that will be worked on in the period to come.
