Serbia-Russia Exercise Slavic Shield 2021
This week, members of Air Force and Air Defence of the Serbian Armed Forces and Aerospace Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are conducting a live firing exercise “Slavic Shield 2021”.
The topic of the joint exercise, which is being held on military training areas and airspace of the Republic of Serbia, is the organisation and conduct of anti-aircraft activities for the protection of one’s own forces.
In keeping with the Exercise scenario, a joint group of Air Defence of the Serbian Armed Forces and Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is going to be formed and it will practice combat actions and procedures in an operation of protecting a strategic facility against reconnaissance and engagement for the air.
The conduct of such exercises improves the level of competence of commands and units of the Air Force and Air Defence for the execution of Air Defence operations, it enables sharing experiences, strengthen bilateral military cooperation and increase interoperability of the Serbian Armed Forces.
