Meeting between Assistant Minister for Defence Policy and Ambassador of Iran



Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić met today with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Serbia, H.E. Mr. Rashid Hassan Pour Baei, to discuss the matter of establishing and developing defence cooperation.

Bandić pointed out that Serbia strives to develop comprehensive cooperation with Iran, given the traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries.
  The two interlocutors agreed that there is a special interest in improving cooperation in the field of military medicine and military education as part of the defence cooperation development.

Ambassador Baei expressed hope that Serbia and Iran will raise defence cooperation to a higher level in the coming period, as well as cooperation in other areas of common interest.
