Minister Stefanović said that the completion of the procedure for appointing Montenegrin defence attaché to Serbia, in addition to the appointment already taken up by the Serbian defence attaché in Montenegro, will contribute to the success of efforts to raise cooperation to a higher level. He concluded that strengthening regional cooperation is a key factor for improving trust, but also prosperity and stability in the region.
Minister Injac said that Montenegro will continue to strongly advocate European integration, and that NATO membership is not an obstacle to cooperation with Serbia in many areas.
Both ministers emphasized the importance of continuing European integration, as well as the need for further development of cooperation in areas of common interest.
Minister Stefanović is on a two-day visit to the Republic of Austria, where he will participate in the Conference of Ministers of Defence in the so-called “Graz Format” which brings together Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, taking place in Krems.
