Minister Stefanović presents awards to “Guardian of Order“ winners
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with members of the Serbian Armed Forces who took first place in the "Guardian of Order" military police competition, which was held as part of the International Army Games. Stefanović presented monetary awards to team members who won the gold medal for Serbia at the largest military competition in the world.
In a conversation with members of the armed forces, whom he presented with certificates of appreciation, the Minister of Defence said that he was proud of our great victory in the competition, which was as important for the armed forces as the Olympic Games. He is also proud that we have been perfect hosts even though this is the first time that Serbia has been one of the 11 countries co-organizing the International Army Games.
"Тhe award-winning participants in the 'Guardian of Order' competition, hosted by our country for the first time. The brave fight earned them the well-deserved first place! Congratulations, guys!”, the Minister wrote on his Instagram profile (@nebojsastefanovic).
The Serbian military team that beat stiff competition in the "Guardian of Order" discipline in Kraljevo consisted of Lieutenant Colonel Borko Luković, Major Radovan Marinković, Captain Milan Kovačević, Lieutenant Danilo Nešić, Staff Sergeant Nikola Bursać, Corporal Nikola Krstić, Sergeant Petar Vukašinović, and coaches Dušan Jakovljević and Master Sergeant Slavoljub Aleksić, while Lieutenant Colonel Dejan Milikić was one of the international referees at this prestigious competition.
Assistant Minister for Human Resources Katarina Tomašević, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Petar Cvetković and Head of the Military Police Department, Colonel Jovica Matić, also attended the reception at the Central Military Club.
