Invitation for young people to apply for voluntary military service
In August, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will give presentations on voluntary military service in five cities and municipalities in the Republic of Serbia. Stands where interested young men and women will be able to get information about voluntary military service will be set up in Žitište and Valjevo on August 7, in Vršac on August 14, in Loznica on August 19 and in Požega on August 21.
It will also be an opportunity for those who have already decided to join the Serbian Armed Forces and perform voluntary military service to fill out their applications and start the procedure.
Young people who intend to pursue a professional career in the military are especially interested in voluntary military service. Improved working conditions and living standards for service personnel, large investment in modern weapons and equipment, and opportunities for professional development and training have contributed to young men and women viewing the defence system as a desirable environment for personal and professional affirmation.Interested citizens will have the opportunity to learn from members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces visiting their towns what voluntary military service is and what advantages it offers when seeking employment in the Serbian Armed Forces later in life.
