Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy visits NATO headquarters



A delegation representing the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, led by Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić, visited the NATO headquarters in Brussels on 16 July 2021.
 
On that occasion, multilateral Planning and Review Process (PARP) consultations were held with the aim of harmonizing the new package of Partnership Goals for the Republic of Serbia. Satisfaction was expressed at the results of cooperation so far and the proposed Partnership Goals stemming from PARP as one of the basic mechanisms of the partnership were reviewed.
 
On the sidelines of the consultations, Assistant Minister Bandić met with James Appathurai, the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and Jonathan Parish, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Operations. The talks emphasized Serbia's intention to continue its cooperation with NATO through the Partnership for Peace program while maintaining its status of military neutrality.
