Special Operations Battalion "Griffins" conducts counter-terrorism exercise
As part of the joint tactical live-fire exercise "Lightning Strike 2021", the 72nd Special Operations Brigade’s "Griffins" Battalion is conducting counter-terrorism exercises and tactical drills in the region of Deliblato Sands.
With the support of the Air Force and Air Defence units, members of the unit practice the tactics, techniques and procedures for the destruction of a terrorist group that has occupied a facility of special importance.Tactical drills on land, helicopter landings, dives, reconnaissance and intelligence gathering are just some of the complex exercise activities that members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade are carrying out as part of the "Lightning Strike 2021" exercise.
By participating in the "Lightning Strike 2021" exercise, the unit’s ability to carry out assigned tasks and an efficient response to potential security challenges, risks and threats on all types of terrain and in all weather and battle conditions are improved.
