Minister Stefanović meets with Senior Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Al-Khairallah



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Nizar Al-Khairallah.
Minister Stefanović thanked Iraq for the unwavering support in the matter of non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo and noted that Serbia and Iraq were linked by decades of historical ties and friendly relations.

The interlocutors also discussed defence cooperation over the past period, as well as the possibilities for its improvement in areas of mutual interest.
  According to Senior Undersecretary Al-Khairallah, Iraq considers the Republic of Serbia a partner and friend and it supports our country’s insistence on compliance with international law when it comes to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
