Nigerian National Defence College delegation visits Defence University
A delegation representing the National Defence College of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, led by Rear Admiral Oladele Bamidele Daji and Brigadier General Hassan Taiwo, visited the Defence University in Belgrade today. The Nigerian delegation was welcomed by the Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić and Rector of the Defence University, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, Assoc. Prof., in the National Defence School’s lecture hall.
Bandić welcomed a group of 36 students from the Nigerian National Defence College, emphasizing the importance of the visit of a delegation from one of the leading African countries, with whom members of the Serbian Ministry of Defence would have the opportunity to exchange views on risks and threats to international security.
General Radovanović acquainted the Nigerian delegation with the structure of the Defence University and the way it works. He also briefed them about the capacities of military educational and military medical institutions.
After the conversation, the guests from Nigeria visited the National Defence School’s accommodation facilities, the Military Academy’s Sports Centre, the pistol shooting range and the memorial room.
The purpose of the visit to the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces was for the Nigerian National Defence College delegation to get acquainted with the Serbian military educational and military medical institutions as well as the defence industry’s product range.
