Agreement on defence cooperation with Germany signed



The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thomas Schieb, signed an Agreement on Defence Cooperation between the governments of the two countries today.

Minister Stefanović pointed out that the Agreement signed today would open up opportunities for the promotion of cooperation between the two Ministries of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and the German Federal Armed Forces in areas of mutual interest.
  Given that Germany is one of our country’s major bilateral donors and trade partners, the Minister expressed hope that defence cooperation would be further promoted in the coming period, following the trend in the overall relations between our countries.

Ambassador Schieb said he was pleased that this agreement would make the basis for future cooperation between Germany and Serbia even more solid.
