Minister Stefanović meets with Ambassador of Belarus Brilev



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus, H.E. Valery Brilev.

Minister Stefanović expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Belarus were very close and that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence was developed and diverse, with the potential for its further improvement.
The Minister thanked Belarus for the delivery of four MiG-29 aircraft overhauled in Belarus, which would significantly enhance the Serbian Armed Forces’ operational capabilities.

Ambassador Brilev emphasized that the relations between the two countries were characterized by traditional friendship and mutual respect, and reiterated Belarus’ determination to provide support to the Republic of Serbia in its efforts to preserve territorial integrity.

He also agreed that the bilateral military cooperation was close and conveyed Belarus’ commitment to further improve cooperation in the military to military, military-economic, military-technical and military education fields.
