Minister Stefanović meets with Ambassador of Turkey, H.E. Aksoy



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Serbia, Hami Aksoy.
Stefanović congratulated Ambassador Aksoy on his new appointment. He pointed out that the relations between the two countries were characterized by close cooperation in numerous areas and that the Ministry of Defence was committed to further promoting cooperation in the field of defence to the mutual interest of both countries.
 
The minister noted that key areas of cooperation were military-to-military, military-educational, and military-economic and emphasized the possibility of enhancing the military-economic and military-technical cooperation, as well as the possibility of organizing a bilateral military exercise.
 
Ambassador Aksoy thanked Stefanović for congratulating him on his appointment as the new Ambassador of Turkey, and expressed belief that the cooperation in the field of defence would be intensified. He agreed with Minister Stefanović on the key areas of future joint activities.
