Medals for MA’s kickboxing team
The Military Academy’s kickboxing team won one silver and three bronze medals at the international competition "Belgrade Trophy", which was held in the "Ranko Žeravica" Sports Hall in New Belgrade. The competition was organized by the Kickboxing Association of Belgrade.
More than 60 clubs from five countries in the region participated in the competition, with a total of 300 competitors in all categories.
The Military Academy’s kickboxing team, consisting of Cadets Jelena Vojinović, Đorđo Matić, Filip Novković, Aleksandar Matejić and Nemanja Maksimović, also participated in this prestigious competition. The Military Academy cadets won one silver and three bronze medals in an extremely tough individual competition.In men’s -94 category, cadet Aleksandar Matejić took second place and a silver medal, while Cadets Filip Novković (-74kg) and Nemanja Maksimović (-79kg) won bronze medals.
In women’s -70 kg category, Cadet Jelena Vojinović took third place and a bronze medal.
The MA’s team was led by Dejan Gavrilović, an instructor at the “Goran Ostojić" Savate Club, and a coach in charge of the Military Academy’s kickboxing club.
