Minister Stefanović presents awards for contribution to the fight against Covid
On the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, presented military commemorative medals to members of the Military Health Department, Ministry of Defence, and plaques and certificates of appreciation to associates from civilian institutions for participation in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Stefanović, we are all proud of today's holiday which keeps alive the traditions of our armed forces, which have always stood by their people, even in the most difficult times, helping them and fighting for them.
- Even today, when we are still fighting the coronavirus, your commitment and huge efforts made by all members of the defence system and all our partners, such as the “Serbian Railways”, the “Štark Arena” and other institutions, show that the unity of our military, doctors and people gives good results - said Stefanović.
The Minister of Defence thanked the awarded individuals for their hard work and pointed out that the recognitions awarded to them were the fruit of that work.
- I hope that we will have less reason to worry in the coming period, and that we will always be ready to protect our people - said Stefanović.
Members of the Military Health Department, Lieutenant Colonels Miroslav Gengo and Dejan Ilić, Captain Miloje Pantović and civilian employee Dejan Pilčević were awarded military commemorative medals.
The MoD’s plaque was presented to Dr Vlado Batnožić, the director of the Institute for Health Protection of the "Serbian Railways" Employees, while the certificates of appreciation will be given to Dr Jovan Ranina from the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases "Prof. Dr. Kosta Todorović" and the director of “Štark Arena" Goran Grbović.
