Minister Stefanović meets with Italian Ambassador H.E. Carlo Lo Cascio



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, H.E. Carlo Lo Cascio, today.
Minister Stefanović pointed out that the Serbian Ministry of Defence was determined to continue the activities in the most important areas of cooperation. He emphasized the importance of the Italian Armed Forces’ participation in the KFOR mission and thus in maintaining peace and stability on the territory of ​​Kosovo and Metohija. The minister also emphasized the importance of military-economic cooperation, especially highlighting the realization of the existing potentials.  
 
Ambassador Lo Cascio said that the Italian forces would keep participating in the KFOR mission to the same extent. In addition, he agreed with Minister Stefanović on the possibility of promoting military-economic and military-technical cooperation in areas of mutual interest, on the basis established during the visit of the Italian Minister of Defence Lorenzo Guerini to the Republic of Serbia in December 2020.
