Minister Stefanović meets with Ambassador of China Chen Bo
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Serbia, Chen Bo.
Minister Stefanović expressed gratitude for the help that China had sent and was still sending to the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces to support our fight against Covid-19. He pointed out that Chinese doctors came to the aid of Serbia’s military health at the beginning of the pandemic and thus showed once again that friends shared both good and evil.According to Minister Stefanović, cooperation in the field of defence is in an upward trend and is developing in various fields, following the overall relations between the two friendly countries which were strengthened by personal relations between the Presidents of Serbia and China. Minister of Defence said that the continuation of the high-level meetings and planned bilateral military cooperation activities would greatly contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence.
Ambassador Chen Bo pointed out that the past period had been marked by a joint fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, which had strengthened the traditional friendship between the two nations, and that cooperation between Serbia and China, which contributed to the recovery and development of the two countries, had not stopped.The Ambassador of China emphasized that the cooperation in the field of defence had been intensive so far and followed excellent general and political relations between the two friendly countries and added that China appreciated the strategic partnership relations with Serbia, which were further strengthened by personal relations between the presidents of the two countries.
