Minister Stefanović meets with UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi Al Falacy at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2021 in Abu Dhabi.
According to Minister Stefanović, he talked to Minister Bowardi about further strategic cooperation in the field of defence between the two countries.
- Thanks to President Vučić’s close relationship with Sheikh Mohammed bih Zayed, the two countries have established extremely close strategic relations as well as relations in the field of defence. It is important for us to continue our special forces training and cooperation in the sphere of defence industry, because we have some ongoing joint projects, and we had the opportunity to talk about some new projects. It is important that this mutual cooperation yields results that would facilitate the progress of our defence industry and general military cooperation – the Minister of Defence said.According to Minister Stefanović, he also talked to Minister Bowardi about his possible visit to Serbia.
- We also talked about the possibility of conducting a joint exercise on that occasion, in which our militaries would show their capabilities, in order to acquaint Minister Bowardi with the Serbian defence potential in greater detail and continue the joint projects we have started - said Minister Stefanović after the meeting with Minister Bowardi at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2021) in Abu Dhabi.
