In the women’s race, Captain Nevena Jovanović from the Military Police Special Purpose Squad “Kobre” triumphed by taking first place, while Corporal Gordana Jovanović from the Air Force and Air Defence took third place.
Last weekend was also successful for the Military Grammar School and the Secondary Vocational Military School students, who represented the Military Academy’s "Akademac" Shooting Club at the Serbian Junior Air Pistol Championship, held in the air weapons range of the "Čair" Sports Centre in Niš.
Vladimir Ćurčin, a Military Grammar School student, won the gold medal and became the champion of Serbia in 2021, while Luka Milošević, a Secondary Vocational Military School student, won the bronze medal. The two of them, together with Uroš Vukojević, a Secondary Vocational Military School student, took first place in the team ranking and thus the Military Academy’s "Akademac" shooting club became the most successful Serbian club on the second day of the junior air pistol competition.
With these victories, members of the Serbian Armed Forces announced a successful season in 2021.
