Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko and offered his sincere congratulations on the upcoming Defenders of the Homeland Day.
“Our people hold the glorious Russian history and the patriotism of its army in high regard. Throughout history, we have always been together on the side of justice and we must never forget that. I would like to express my deep respect for the defenders who preserved Russia’s freedom and who were with the Serbian army and people. I congratulate you on this great holiday on behalf of all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and on my own behalf“, Ministar Stefanović said.
He also expressed hope that we would continue developing cooperation between the two countries in the coming period, especially in the field of defence.
