State Secretary Živković meets with Ambassador of Belgium



State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Aleksandar Živković met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Belgrade, H. E. Adam Koenraad.
During today's meeting, State Secretary Živkovic emphasized Serbia’s openness to strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest, with particular regard to the previously launched initiatives. He pointed out the danger of terrorism, especially in the case of returnees from the battlefield in the Middle East. State Secretary
Živković noted that Serbia’s priority was to join the European Union with the status of military neutrality, which is an additional reason for cultivating good relations with foreign partners and improving them.

During the conversation, Ambassador Koenraad emphasized that Belgium understood, respected and supported Serbia’s interests in its cooperation with the European Union and NATO as a foreign partner. He expressed hope and belief that closer cooperation between the Republic of Serbian and the Kingdom of Belgium would be possible in the coming period in key areas of mutual importance.
