Minister Stefanović meets with Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Katsumata



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with the Ambassador of Japan to Serbia Takahiko Katsumata.

Minister Stefanović pointed out that the relations between the two countries were good, with a tendency towards further improvement, and during the meeting, it was emphasized that the visits by Japan’s highest state officials to Serbia in the previous period had created the conditions for further improvement of relations, including the development of cooperation in the field of defence. 
The collocutors agreed that cooperation in the field of defence between the two countries could be developed in the military and military-technical fields, as well as through the exchange of experiences in the field of military medicine. Also, the importance of improving cooperation in the field of fighting the effects of natural disasters was emphasized.

Minister Stefanović sent an invitation to the JapaneseMinister of Defence to visit Serbia, which, according to him, would be a significant step towards the development of cooperation in the field of defence between the two countries.
